All transportation operated by Monroe Town Car is subject to the following Terms of Service. By using this website to schedule your ride, you are agreeing to these Terms, and you acknowledge and agree to be bound by the conditions of use listed below, and any future revisions and additions, as published on this website.
Reservations for transportation to the airport are valid only for the time and date specified. Reservations for transportation from the airport are valid only for the date specified. Monroe Town Car is not responsible for unused reservation or costs incurred as a result of customer error. When changing the pick up or drop off location of a reservation, rates are subject to change and additional charges may apply.
Ride to the Airport
Reservations are required for service to the airport, we do not operate an on-demand service or accept street hails. Your vehicle should arrive within the 10-minute window selected at the time of booking. It is the customer’s responsibility to be ready and waiting to depart the pickup location at the beginning of the 10-minute window. Failure to do so may inhibit our ability to provide service and may result in possible forfeiture of fare.
The customer must include the “Day of Travel” cell phone number. Customer will receive a text from your driver 30 minutes prior to pick-up to let you know s/he is on their way. Failure to provide a contact number for the day of travel may prevent our ability to provide service and result in possible forfeiture of fare.
Ride from the Airport
Reservations from the airport is required. Return transportation is direct non-stop transportation from the airport to your desired end location, popular options being; a motel, hotel, home or office. Our software will monitor your flight and your driver will be dispatched to the airport prior to your arrival. Your driver will be parked in the Ground Transportation area on the lower level of Portland International Airport on Island #3. When your driver arrives for your pick-up the airport will assign the space number.
Once our software alerts your driver that your flight has arrived at your gate, your driver will send you a text with what reservation space number s/he is parked in. When entering the baggage claim area, follow the signs for Ground Transportation and look for Reserved Rides. Airport staff will be available to direct you to where the Shuttle and Car Service is parked on Island 3. You will have 30 minutes to make your way from your flight to baggage claim and to your waiting car with no additional fees. Please contact your driver via phone or text if you require more time.
Luggage and Personal Items
Customer is responsible for properly specifying the correct amount of luggage he or she intends to bring onto the vehicle during reservation. Failure to specify in advance may result in additional fees or the need for an additional vehicle, or the inability of the company to service the reservation.
Customers traveling with valuables, priceless items, and prescription drugs should keep these items in their possession during the course of the trip.
For each passenger, at no extra cost, the following is accepted on board the vehicle: 2 checked luggage pieces, such as standard suitcases and large duffel bags weighing 50 pounds or less each; and 2 carry-on items, such as purses, laptop cases, briefcases, small suitcases, and backpacks.
Normal wear and tear to personal items is typical of the handling process during transportation. Transporting large items, such as luggage, may result in scratches, dings, and nicks. Monroe Town Car Service and its driver are not responsible for damages such as broken pull handles/straps, broken wheels or feet, or damages that are incurred as a result of over-packing, items packed improperly, or fragile items.
It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure any belongings kept with customer in the main seating compartment of the vehicle are securely packed and fastened, and that any breakable items are protected while using the service.
Safety cameras have been installed in many Monroe Town Car vehicles for operator and customer safety. The camera will initiate recording with any sudden swerve or stop and can be turned on manually to protect the operator. Customers may be recorded as a result.
Seatbelts are provided for customer safety. Monroe Town Car requires customers to wear safety belts while inside the vehicle, but it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the seatbelt is securely fastened, as required by law. Operators reserve the right to refuse service to parties out of compliance with applicable laws.
Customers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire duration of the ride. Operators may refuse service if a child is not old enough to ride alone and is without an adult or guardian.
Child Seat Policy
Monroe Town Car supports the strongest safety standard by recommending that small children five years and under be secured in a child restraint seat for transportation. Please bring one as it is the parent’s or caregiver’s responsibility. We do not provide child restraint seats and likely will not be able to provide service without one. State laws do not allow children to ride in the lap of an adult.
Travel Times and Delays
Monroe Town Car is not responsible for significant delays in anticipated arrival due to traffic, weather, or road conditions, or any other unforeseen circumstances. Under such conditions, Ride to PDX reserves the right to cancel and refund reservations in advance of the scheduled pickup.
Customer is responsible for providing accurate information at time of booking. When he/she provides information for travel, the customer agrees that the information will be accurate. Monroe Town Car is not responsible for mistakes made by customers while using the service, its official websites, or mobile applications.
Monroe Town Car accepts Cash, Credit or Debit Cards for services provided.
Paying with Credit Card
We accept the following Credit Cards; Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. We accept bank issued debit cards that display the Visa or MasterCard logo only.
Paying with Cash
When paying in cash please know, our drivers do not carry change, so please plan accordingly if you choose to pay in cash. Payment is collected at the end of the ride, either at the airport before unloading or at your destination before unloading.
You have the option of receiving a printed paper receipt, text receipt or an e-mail receipt. All payments will be issued an e-mail receipt if no choice is given by the customer.
Passengers riding with Monroe Town Car have the option to tip their drivers in-person. You may tip your driver in your choice of cash or add it to the end transaction via credit card or debit card. If choosing to tip via Card, you will be presented with a pre-set percentage on the screen you sign, or you can edit the amount to any amount of your choice. Tipping is not required or expected, but your driver does appreciate any amount and all tip amounts paid via card will be given to your driver.
We understand your travel plans may change, so we offer a simple cancellation policy. Regardless of whether you made your reservation online, via mobile app, or by via phone; give us 12 hours’ notice prior to your pickup time, and we will give you a full refund of your fare. Credit card refunds are submitted to the financial institution within one (1) business day; check with your financial institution for more information.

Ride to PDX may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information. Ride to PDX may release account information when we believe, in good faith, that such release is reasonably necessary to (i) comply with law, (ii) enforce or apply the terms of any of our user agreements or (iii) protect the rights, property or safety of RidetoPDX.com, our users, or others.
We use Google Analytics’ third-party audience data such as age, gender and interests to better understanding the behavior of our website users and customers and work with companies that collect information about your online activities to provide advertising targeted to suit your interests and preferences. For example, you may see certain ads on this website or other websites because we contract with Google and other similar companies to target our ads based on information we or they have collected, including information that was collected through automated means (such as cookies and web beacons). These companies also use automated technologies to collect information when you click on our ads, which helps track and manage the effectiveness of our marketing efforts.
